On November 7th - 8th, 2023 Partnership Training and Education Centers (PTEC) Marketplace took place at the premises of NATO HQ in Brussels. This annual gathering brings together a network of training centres and institutions from NATO and partner countries to exchange ideas, expertise, and cutting-edge solutions in military education and training. The activity was attended by 24 PTECs out of a total of 34. Since the Armed Forces Academy of General Milan Rastislav Stefanik in Liptovsky Mikulas (AFA) is one of the 34 members of the PTEC community, it was represented at the event by members of the International Courses Department of AFA. The goal was to present the current portfolio of international courses, represent AFA as PTEC, and last but not least, represent the Slovak Republic.
In addition, AFA representatives also participated in the discussion of the PTEC working group on November 6th, the program of which was to evaluate the fulfillment of the tasks resulting from the last meeting and to process the proposal to increase the number of courses with regard to NATO priorities and the availability of courses for students in individual PTEC facilities, with a focus on members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
