From January 13 to January 15, 2026, the second workshop co-organized by representatives of the U.S. Institute of Security Governance (ISG) and the Indiana National Guard took place at the Armed Forces Academy of General Milan Rastislav Štefanik (AOS). The Slovak side was represented not only by participants from AOS but also by selected representatives from the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic and members of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic, Joint Support Brigade, who will be directly involved in the maintanence, logistics, and sustainment processes of the multifunctional F-16 Block 70 aircraft in the arsenal of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic.
During the workshop, an analysis of selected sustainment processes was conducted, identifying areas for improvement with proposals that will be included in the curriculum of the newly created course as the main outcome of collaboration between the respective institutions. Participants had the opportunity to work in syndicates under the guidance of U.S. experts and subsequently present their recommendations and proposals in front of all attendees. The next worshop will take place in April.
