On November 16th, the 29th International Staff Officers' Course (ISOC) was officially concluded at Armed Forces Academy of GEN. M. R. Stefanik in Liptovsky Mikulas (AFA). General Director of the Human Resources Section of the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic, JUDr. Martin Rimes together with the Acting Rector of AFA, Assoc. Prof. Jozef Putter were taking part at the closing ceremony.
The course started on September 18th and was attended by a total of 29 participants, among whom were 16 officers from the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic in the ranks from captain to major, 4 officers from the AFA, 5 2nd lieutenants from the Czech Republic, a female captain from the Republic of Korea, and representatives of the Jordanian Armed Forces, 3 female officers in the rank of major. Participation of Jordan servicewomen was for the first time at the international course at AFA.
The best student was the Korean captain Sejin Jang, who was awarded the prize for her diligent study by the Chief of the International Courses Department of AFA, LTC Rene Hecko.
ISOC 29 ended with a ceremonial speech given by the Vice-rector for Education of AFA, COL Aurel Sabo, who thanked the entire team of instructors led by LTC Rene Hecko and wished the graduates to benefit from the knowledge gained during the course in their further career.
