The department provides higher education of officers for the command and control of military units that are armed with the following electronic weapon systems:

• Anti-aircraft missile systems;

• Radars;

• Mobile communication systems;

• Electronic reconnaissance and electronic warfare systems.

The Department of Electronics carries out research, development, expertise, consultations, proposals and tests in the areas of:

• Electromagnetic compatibility;

• Sensors and sensor systems;

• Radio electronics;

• Microwave technology;

• Mobile communication technologies and systems.
