ALLROUNDER - the international military sports competition took place on September 27th-30th 2022 with the participation of 6 teams. In addition to the team from the Armed Forces Academy of GEN. M.R. Stefanik (AFA) teams from Charles University in Prague, University of Defense in Brno, Military Academy from Belgrade, University of Public Service from Budapest and Training Command and Application School of the Army of Turin took part in the competition.
The competition took place full two days. On the first day, participants completed 4 disciplines. It started with an obstacle course, which is famous for its difficulty. It continued by throwing a rubber grenade into a space 6 x 3 meters at a distance of 30 meters. After lunch, the competitors moved to the reservoir behind Bobrovec village. Two 50-meter long lanes were laid out in the water tank, where the freestyle swimming relay took place. The conditions were very challenging and water temperature was only around 10 to 12 degrees of Celsius. The difficulty was also enhanced by the fact that the swimmers were wearing military uniforms. The first day ended with a discipline in virtual short gun shooting in the simulation center. Shots were fired at a distance of 15 meters.
The second day was more demanding, not only because of the rainy weather, but also because of the demanding discipline - a cross-country run of 6 km with an elevation gain of almost 200 meters with waterlogged terrain. Our boys did very well and took the first place in the running discipline. After five completed disciplines, it moved them to the 2nd place. The last discipline - whitewater rafting turned out to be rather even for all teams.
