On June 13th – 16th, the Polish "WOJSKOWA AKADEMIA TECHNICZNA - WARSZAWA" organized a conference called Seminar of the Student's Associations FME and FMAA 2023. The entire conference was under the auspices of two faculties: Faculty of Mechanical engineering and Faculty of Mechatronic Armament and Aerospace. Students from several countries, mainly from Europe, but e.g. also from Singapore, took part in the conference. Two students from AFA represented Slovakia.
The conference was conducted in the form of a competition and was divided into two categories: master's/engineering theses and doctoral theses, in which 49 theses were presented. Our Academy was represented by two students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering (study program “Weapon systems, weapons and their parts”). Cadet Marek Ferencak with his thesis "Small Unmanned Ground Vehicle With Fuel Cell Technology", won 2nd place in the category of master's/engineering thesis in a strong competition. The second representative was Cadet Tomas Kris with the work "The Development Of A Tracked Chassis For An Unmanned Ground Vehicle". Both students worked under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Vladimír Popardovský, PhD.
The Slovak AFA team enjoyed great attention and recognition from the organizer and competitors during the conference. They appealed to their colleagues with their practical examples of the presented works and impressed them with their professional knowledge in the presented issues. Such a great presentation of AFA abroad deserves acknowledgment. Thank you goes also to the team of teachers and mentors who create space for students in the field of science and research.
