From May 4 to 7, 2026, the Theresan Military Academic Forum 2026 – TMAF 2026, an international scientific event, was held in Wiener Neustadt, Austria, and organized by the Theresan Military Academy. This year’s forum focused on the theme “Training 2.0: Embracing Emerging Tech to Educate Tomorrow’s Officers,” featuring professional discussions on the use of modern technologies, artificial intelligence, simulations, and autonomous systems in military education and officer training.

The Armed Forces Academy of General Milan Rastislav Štefánik was represented by LT Michaela Rázusová of the Department of Social Sciences and Languages, who delivered a professional presentation titled “Artificial Intelligence in English Language Education for Tomorrow’s Officers.” The presentation, prepared in cooperation with LT Ján Daňo, was thematically linked to an article intended for publication in The Defence Horizon Journal.

The contribution addressed the possibilities, benefits, and limitations of implementing artificial intelligence in English language education within military higher education. Particular emphasis was placed on developing the linguistic, communicative, and cognitive competencies of future officers, who must be prepared to operate in an international, technologically dynamic, and operationally demanding environment.

Participation in TMAF 2026 offered an opportunity for professional exchange with representatives from foreign military academies, universities, and research institutions. At the same time, it underscored the importance of aligning language education with current trends in military technology, interoperability, and officer preparation for the future operational environment.
