Members of International Courses Department (LTC René Hečko and MAJ Jozef Hraško) met at the German Armed Forces Command and Staff College in Hamburg on February 3rd – 7th, 2025 as part of the Operational Planning Reference Curriculum working group. Its aim is to develop an Operational and Tactical Planning Reference Curriculum (RC), which will provide an instructor or curriculum developer with guidance to validate, improve, or create planning curricula at the tactical to operational level. The activity is hosted and supported by the Partnership for Peace Consortium of Defence Academies and Security Studies Institute (PfPC).
The working group, which was initiated in March 2024, consists of 12 members of universities and educational institutions from Canada, Georgia, Germany, Lithuania, Slovakia – SVK AFA and the USA. The working group usually meets online using VTC. This was the second residental working meeting with participance of each working group member, the aim of which was to present the first draft of the curriculum in the presence of PfPC representatives - the requestors. Expected date for submission and approval of the curriculum is March 2026.
