From 17 August to 18 September 2026, professional military personnel from the Department of Social Sciences and Languages actively participated in the organisation and implementation of Basic Military Training 2026, serving as platoon commanders.

Throughout the various phases of the training, they performed tasks related to both theoretical instruction and practical military training. As part of their instructional duties, they delivered lectures on selected topics covering basic military regulations and drill training, sharing their professional knowledge and practical experience with the trainees.

A significant part of their involvement was the field training conducted in the Kamenica nad Cirochou area. They supervised, organised, and coordinated the activities of platoon members during marksmanship training, tactical training, combat engineering training, Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) defence training, as well as other areas of military training.

All professional military personnel from the Department of Social Sciences and Languages participated in Basic Military Training 2026: 1st Lt. Mgr. Michaela RÁZUSOVÁ, 1st Lt. Mgr. Ján DAŇO, 2nd Lt. Mgr. Dominika ŠČUROKOVÁ, 2nd Lt. Pavol MINÁR, and 2nd Lt. Mgr. Barbora HURTUKOVÁ, PhD.

Serving as platoon commanders required not only professional competence and preparedness but also the ability to organise activities, respond flexibly to emerging situations, and take responsibility for accomplishing assigned tasks. The professionalism, dedication, and effective leadership demonstrated by all platoon commanders contributed significantly to the successful completion of training objectives and the overall implementation of Basic Military Training 2026.
